We are an independent health and fitness organisation. Our Centre in Coventry serves the local community and is dedicated to offering effective fitness regimes, both on or off site, combined with personal care and attention.
The Centre had a well deserved reputation for excellence in Martial Arts , in particular Judo , having evolved from an Academy previously owned and run by Neil Adams (twice World Champion and Double Olympic Silver Medallist).
There is a well equipped gymnasium with the latest Johnson Cardio equipment run on
a strict "no mirror, no Lycra -
We welcome children and teenagers to their own beginner thru' elite Martial Arts classes or to the Teen Gym . The new Judo Plus courses will include additional crucial advice and skills for young people. Youngsters who want to have the "edge" in their chosen sport through a superior level of fitness can opt for our Effective High Performance courses. A new course is available for overweight young people to improve their fitness and confidence.
Seminars are run regularly on a variety of topics such as assertiveness / confidence building, Self Defence , Medical Rehabilitation (heart / arthritis) and Life Coaching. Continued 'One to One' Counselling on all of these topics is also provided.
( Seasonal courses such as fitness for skiing and children's school holiday activities are also available )

I attended 3 or 4 times a week for between ¾ to one hour, using the gym equipment I followed a gentle routine that had been planned for me personally taking into account my level of fitness and the discomfort I was experiencing in my joints.

I'll start off by saying how friendly the staff from Effective Fitness are, they're
more then helpful from greeting you, to sharing facilities. I've been to some seminars
held at private gyms and they're not welcoming at all.
